WebPosition 4.0

Saturday, 17 March 2007

WebPosition inhabits the same territory as Web CEO, however so far they have not followed suit and release a free version of their core product.

WebPosition is the granddaddy of seo software. The developers stole an early lead in the market and the name is still considered a leader in the field. In this newest version tasks are categorised into four main sections:

  • Reports (including rank checking)
  • Target (keyword research)
  • Optimize (your pages)
  • Submit (search engine, directory etc)
  • Analyze (using the celebrated WebTrends service)

The features are comprehensive and well built, although Google Analytics is threatening the added value that WebTrend provides.

Other names: WebPosition, WebPosion, WebPositon

WebPosition = crap. Don't waste your money. It's banned by google, gives false results and the tech support is more like the PR department - nothing is wrong, they are always there to help but are never very helpful!

Do not use webposition Gold for Google submission, there has been reported issues. I stopped using that for Google years ago. Just a FYI
