IBP (iBusinessPromoter)

IBP11.5 Released

Friday, 14 August 2009

IBP have just pushed out version 11.5. iBusinessPromoter (or is it Internet Business Promoter?) 11.5 is described by Axandra as a MAJOR improvement on previous incarnations, so let's take a look.

The significant area of development is in the Keyword Tool. It has been a trend over the last few years for SEO suites to focus their efforts on keyword selection since the likes of SEO Elite and Keyword Elite became so popular. The new keyword tool brings the product in line with the likes of Web CEO. Enter a keyword and IBP returns keyword suggestions, monthly searches on Google, number of search results and the KEI (keyword effectiveness index). All have been a feature of Web CEO for some time.

The new release can also handle keywords in 13 different languages - although I suspect the average user will just require 1 at most :)

Axandra have also released a new video on how to achieve top 10 rankings using IBP 11.5, enjoy:

Other names: Internet Business Promoter, IPB10

IBP / Axandra SEO newsletter

Thursday, 11 June 2009

Axandra publish a weekly (yes, weekly) newsletter that's PACKED with SEO goodies. From industry news to the latest SEO techniques - and of course help using Axandra products such as IBP.

I hadn't read the newsletter before reading the current edition, which I did from beginning to end in the name of hard research. Hot topics included keyword search tools, Microsoft's new Bing search engine plus lots of fascinating Google speculation. It's actually really good!

IBP10 (iBusinessPromoter)

Tuesday, 19 May 2009

IBP (or iBusinessPromoter) has released version 10 of their SEO suite and the software is looking better than ever. Axandra have taken an alternative marketing strategy to their close competitor WebCEO and offer an unconditional 30-day money back guarantee rather than a free version of the software. So is it worth the price tag?

The patter is familiar. The suite helps you Optimize, Promote and Track your website marketing efforts. All the usual are there ? keyword selection, link analysis, submission and reporting. In fact, the reporting is perhaps a little more professional than competing suites making IBP a solid choice for the SEO or marketing professional.

With a core featureset that resembles WebCEO and WebPosition, the interesting differentiator in IBP is the money back guarantee they offer. It demonstrates a level of confidence in their optimization module that warrants investigation.

The wording of the guarantee state that:

  • Your website will be listed in the top 10 results in the search engine of your choice. If not, you will get your money back.

  • You decide for which keywords you want to be listed.

  • This guarantee is valid for one full year after your purchase.

All you need to do is complete all the suggestions generated by the optimization reports. This is a pretty useful motivational trick, since most users of the software would fall some way short of completing all suggested steps.

IBP comes in two flavours, IBP Standard and IBP Business. The standard version is built for those who promote their own websites, supporting up to 5 projects and costing EUR 249.95. You don?t need to be a rocket scientist to work out that the business package is intended for use by those who promote other people?s websites. The business package supports unlimited projects and comes in at EUR 449.95.

A free trial can be downloaded from the website. Give it a spin.

There isn't much between Web CEO and ibusinesspromoter. Give the trials a go and make your decision based on the functionality for your specific needs. personally I use IBP, but also supplement this with the free version of Web CEO

I've used IBP since version 3 and wouldn't use anything else. I operate a top ranking eCommerce site and don't spend a penny on Adwords. I litterally put everything I know about SEO down to this piece of kit.
