Tuesday, 24 October 2006Macrovirus is an anti virus program with some neat little extras. It has an inbuilt Adware and Spyware scanner and will repair any damage they've caused and delete them from your system. It also acts as a pop-up blocker, although most browsers now include this functionality.
Usually I don't like software that uses gimmicks (like pop-up blockers) and would prefer them to stick to a core purpose, but I do like this product. I'd be interested in running some comparisons on the virus database to check that it's comprehensive enough - anyone tried this one and have a review?

I hate this program and think it's a rip-off. Don't ever try to contact the support staff to get your money back, good god.
For just $50 odd get a real antivirus like Kaspersky or even Norton.

its ok, but no substitute for real protection. like using the withdrawl method instead of a rubber :)
